To improve its ecological footprint, Leviton sought the help of our experts to reduce the amount of film to its minimum. Abracadabra! Over the course of a year, our laboratory enabled Leviton to save 50% on stretch film and reduce its use of plastic by 61%. Magic or common sense, the most important thing is the result!

In collaboration with Altrum, a company specializing in recognition programs and commemorative products, CARTIER developed packaging solutions ensuring effective product protection. The objective was to minimize packaging costs (labor, components and transportation costs) while prioritizing eco-responsibility. The solutions submitted aimed to reduce the quantity of packaging components while guaranteeing ISTA-compliant protection, thus helping to reduce packaging costs. Thanks to these solutions, the use of plastic was reduced by 87%.

Mondou, a specialist in pet care and products, collaborated with CARTIER to develop packaging solutions ensuring effective protection of products throughout storage, transport and handling. The main objective was to keep component costs below 6% of the average order basket value.

Our experts successfully met this challenge, proposing not one, but four packaging solutions adapted to their most frequently ordered parcel formats. The empty space of the packages was reduced to a minimum, resulting in a reduction in the use of filling components and the size of the boxes. As a result, the number of packages per pallet was increased! The best part? The average cost of packaging components corresponds to 3.9% of the average value of customer orders.

Rotec International, Canada’s leading manufacturer of hospital beds, had to redesign its packaging due to ecotaxes in importing countries. The new solution had to combine high-end protection, affordability, packaging speed and efficiency, maximization of container utilization and wood reduction, with a preference for recyclable components. In addition, it had to enable effortless packing and unpacking. This challenge was met by our experts, and the solution generated annual savings of over $72,000.
